At (Midwest Model LLC), we believe in creating a safe, honest, and supportive space for models and clients alike. Our mission is to set a higher standard in the modeling industry—one rooted in integrity, family values, and professionalism. That's why we've created BEAM - The Better Ethics Association for Modeling.
We have a strict policy against nudity. Models represented by our agency are never asked to pose nude, and we do not allow clients to request such content. While other agencies may share this belief, we are one of the few that clearly advertise this policy—and we proudly stand by it. Our hope is that more agencies will join us in taking this stand for model safety and respect.
What We Do
Founded in Iowa in 2014, we’ve grown to represent models in multiple states including Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Georgia, Arizona, and Pennsylvania. We provide talent and creative services for:
Fashion shows and special events
Commercial print and catalog campaigns (apparel, beauty, accessories) Television and online video ads
Corporate campaigns (clients include John Deere, Oriental Trading, and more)
We offer both fashion models and commercial models, matching talent to projects with care and precision.
Our Story
Midwest Model Agency is owned and directed by David Whitney, a longtime creative professional, published photographer (Raviani, Brain Storm LLC), videographer, and former YoungLife Area Director. David started the agency after recognizing an urgent need for an ethical alternative to an industry that too often operates like a high-pressure sales lot—with hidden fees and questionable practices.
Instead of following that path, David built Midwest Model Agency to eliminate unnecessary costs, prioritize transparency, and scout talent based on real potential—not ability to pay.
Getting Started with Us
If a model is invited to join our agency, we’ll coordinate a professional photo session at one of our studios (Studio A or Studio B), free of charge if within driving distance. For models who live farther away, they may provide their own headshots or portfolio images and videos at their own expense.
Fashion models will need a portfolio
Commercial models will need high-quality headshots.
We also work with stylists like Natalia, who are available for hire on shoot days—but styling is never required.

For Parents
We welcome parents into the process. Your child’s safety and privacy are our top priorities.
We proudly support Iowa Businesses Against Trafficking (IBAT) and encourage families to explore this initiative. We maintain strong ethical standards and regularly review industry safety practices. We believe all modeling agencies should align themselves with similar efforts in their local communities.
At our own shoots, model safety is ensured, including the presence of trained and licensed professionals.
